At Leman Academy Central Tucson Preschool, children learn in smaller class sizes with caring teachers and instructional assistants in every classroom. Each child is known, supported and given the attention they need to grow and thrive.
Our structured preschool program blends play and early learning to build language, confidence and kindergarten readiness through stories, music, art, outdoor exploration and hands-on activities.

Our Approach:
Play-Based, Classical Early Learning
When learning feels like play, children master new skills naturally. Through games, stories, and creative projects, we make learning joyful while nurturing the incredible growth that happens in the preschool years. Our classical early-learning approach introduces children to truth, goodness, and beauty through rich language and stories, music and movement, nature exploration, and early math and science, while helping them care for themselves, others, and their classroom.
Language & Literacy: songs, rhymes, read-alouds, vocabulary, print awareness
Math Foundations: counting, patterns, shapes, measuring and comparing
Science & Nature: observing, questioning, experimenting, outdoor discovery
Fine & Gross Motor: writing readiness, art, building, movement and play
Habits of Character: attention, responsibility, kindness, perseverance

Programs, Hours & Daily Rhythm
We’re open 7:00 AM–6:00 PM with flexible scheduling to fit family needs. Choose full-day or half-day options. Every week includes outdoor play, free lunch, quiet rest, and enrichment so children learn and recharge.
A Day in Our Classroom
Warm arrival and independent play
Morning meeting with songs, stories, and calendar
Learning centers: literacy, math, art, building, dramatic play, sensory
Outdoor play and gross-motor time
