Leman Virtual Academy Program

Leman Virtual Academy provides access to a rigorous, classical education in a flexible, virtual setting.

Our virtual scholars have required live classes 3 – 4 times a week, depending on grade level.

Each live class is geared toward a specific subject, for example, Monday- ELA, Tuesday-Math, Wednesday-History and Thursday- Science. Schoolwork is still assigned daily for each subject. There are also scholar hours offered daily. This is a time when scholars can log in with their teacher if they need help with coursework. Scholars are provided textbooks as well as digital resources.

Assignments are posted weekly in our online learning management system, Schoology. Aside from the live class meeting times, it is up to the scholar and the family to plan their academic week. We do, however, have suggested due dates to keep scholars on track in order to get all assignments completed before the end of the week. Having a full week to complete assignments allows families and scholars the flexibility to plan their schedules, but also requires discipline.

All assignments are due by 11:59 Sunday night, giving the scholars a full seven days to complete all assignments.

State Testing

Leman Virtual Academy scholars must take Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessments(AASA). These tests are administered yearly, in April, and must be taken in person. Instructors will work with scholars to prepare them for testing by exposing them to the deep, rich content provided by Leman Virtual Academy. This content, taught by highly skilled staff, and with your support, will lead your scholar towards subject mastery.
