MARSHA JONES - PRINCIPAL

Marsha JonesMy name is Marsha Jones and I currently reside in Douglas Az. I have a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disability, a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies and a Diploma in Elementary Education. My professional experience includes over 17 years of classroom teaching in which I have taught grades 1,2 and 3. It is one of the most gratifying experiences to see students grasp the content and knowledge imparted to them through the building of relationship and in turn using it to become a positive contributor to society.

For the past 3 years, I have also had the opportunity to mentor other teachers, through my role as Instructional Leadership Team Member. This role afforded me the opportunity to provide the coaching and support needed to orient and better equip the teacher for their assigned role in the classroom. It also enabled me to assist in the implementation of the schools curricular and programs that foster an increase in the overall management of the school and by extension improving student academics. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in K-12 Leadership Program.

It is my hope that this field of study will deepen my knowledge and broaden my understanding of the roles of educational leaders. It will further expose me to different innovative strategies and theoretical principles, theories, research, policies and practices that undergird educational organizations. I am excited to join this great team and look forward serving as the Vice Principal for Leman Academy Sierra Vista Campus as I continue to make a positive impact on students’ holistic development.

Danielle Easton – INTERVENTIONIST

Danielle EastonHi there! My name is Danielle Easton. I am new to Leman Academy this year (2021) and am looking forward to my new adventure here! I have been a teacher for 21 years, teaching grades Kindergarten through 4th grade. I am switching over to Reading Intervention which has been my goal for quite some time. I am originally from upstate NY, but my family and I moved to Tucson when I was 12. Shortly after college I moved to Sierra Vista where I lived for quite awhile before moving to a few other areas of Arizona. I am very happy that I am back in Sierra Vista. I truly consider this area to be my home.

I enjoy reading, watching documentaries, learning about history, cooking/baking, and spending time with family.
