Kellie Headley - 7th & 8th grade History Teacher

Mrs. Headley is originally from California but considers Arizona her home after living here since the age of nine. She was an avid volleyball player through college and was asked if she was interested in coaching for a private club during her Sophomore year which made her realize her passion for teaching! Continuing through college at the University of Arizona, working a full-time job and coaching year-round made for a busy life that was full of fun and adventure! She was thrilled when Amphi High School asked her if she would be interested in coaching their boys' varsity volleyball program when she was a Junior in college. Through hard work, dedication and trust she led those young men to state two years in a row! Mrs. Headley met her future husband when they were young and they have been together for 20 years. They have two amazing daughters, 8 and 3 years old who attend LOV. Becoming a mother trumped volleyball in such a way that Mrs. Headley decided it was time to devote all of her time to her children for the beginning years of their lives. Their family got a little bit bigger and hairier when they bought two Siberian Husky pups last year, Sansa and Arya. Once her youngest started preschool she started Guest Teaching for Leman and loved it so much that she transitioned back to the classroom full-time last year!
