Clever is an easy way for your scholar to learn with all of the online programs Leman Virtual Academy provides. We use Clever so scholars can have all of their digital resources in one place without the need to remember multiple usernames and passwords.
Schoology is a learning management system for schools in which our teachers can create, manage, and share assignments and resources. Our teachers and scholars also use it to communicate individually, and as a group, and post about upcoming events.

Virtual scholars are provided with opportunities to attend in-person and online clubs with their classmates and teacher. They also have the opportunity to participate in Leman brick-and-mortar campus sports and extracurricular activities.

ESA-Funded Homeschool Programs
Flexible, parent-led homeschool programs with four levels of support, ranging from classical curriculum resources to live classes and comprehensive teacher support. Eligible families may use Arizona ESA funds through ClassWallet.
Leman Virtual Academy
A tuition-free teacher-led virtual school.
Leman Virtual Academy offers Arizona scholars structured instruction, academic support and Leman’s classical curriculum from home. Scholars enroll full time and become part of the Leman Academy community.

What is an Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account?
Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account program provides eligible families with state education funding that can be used for qualifying educational expenses, including curriculum, home education, tutoring and other educational services. The program is administered by the Arizona Department of Education.
Who is Leman Classical at Home designed for?
Leman Classical at Home is designed for a wide variety of families, including experienced homeschool parents who want additional resources and families who are new to homeschooling and want more structure, guidance, teacher involvement and community.
Our goal is to allow each family to choose the level of support that works best for their homeschool experience.
Do I need to have homeschooling experience?
No. Families do not need previous homeschooling experience to participate.
Experienced homeschool families may prefer our more independent options, while families who are new to homeschooling can choose options that provide additional structure, pacing, guidance and educator support.
Guided Classical is designed for families who want to homeschool while having additional support and reassurance along the way.
What if I already have curriculum that I like?
You do not necessarily need to replace it. Digital Essentials is intended for families who already have curriculum, materials or an established homeschool structure but want access to designated Leman digital curriculum and resources.
Can I add live classes without purchasing Complete Classical at Home?
Yes. Live classes are designed as a customizable option for families who want additional Leman instruction in selected subjects.
This can be particularly helpful when a parent feels comfortable teaching most subjects but would like additional teacher support in a particular area, or when a scholar would benefit from instructor and peer interaction.
What is Classical Education?
Classical Education seeks to develop knowledgeable, thoughtful and articulate learners through rich content, meaningful ideas, strong foundational knowledge and critical thinking.
Leman’s approach is designed to provide families with an intentional educational experience rather than simply a collection of disconnected assignments.
What does Charlotte Mason-inspired education mean?
Charlotte Mason-inspired education emphasizes rich literature, meaningful ideas, nature, the arts, good habits and cultivating a genuine love of learning.
Families do not need prior experience with Classical or Charlotte Mason-inspired education to participate.
Is Leman Classical at Home the same as Leman Virtual Academy?
No. These are two different educational options.
Leman Classical at Home is a homeschool program for families who want to remain their scholar’s primary home educator while choosing varying levels of Leman curriculum, resources, guidance, live instruction and support.
Leman Virtual Academy is a separate, tuition-free public-school option for families who want their scholar learning from home while Leman teachers assume responsibility for instruction, grading, pacing and school accountability.
Families looking for the independence and flexibility of homeschooling should explore Leman Classical at Home. Families seeking a full-time online public-school experience may be better suited for Leman Virtual Academy.
How are ESA funds accessed?
Arizona ESA families generally access their scholarship funds through ClassWallet, the financial platform used by Arizona’s ESA program.
ESA accounts are funded according to the Arizona Department of Education’s funding schedule. ClassWallet provides families with options for making eligible educational purchases and payments using their ESA funds.
